Privacy Policy

The short version: Noodle collects nothing. What you play is analysed on your device and never leaves it. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking.

Turquoise Hexagon Cybernetics LTD ("us", "we" or "our") makes the Noodle: Piano Improv app for iPad and Mac (the "App"). This page explains what the App does with your data, which is almost nothing.

What we collect

Nothing. The App does not collect, store on any server, sell or share any personal data. That includes:

  • Personal information such as your name, email address or contact details.
  • Usage data such as device information, app usage statistics or crash reports.
  • Anything you play: notes, chords and timing are never recorded or sent anywhere.

The App makes no network requests. We operate no servers for it, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code.

What stays on your device

What you play. The App reads MIDI from your keyboard and analyses it live, in memory, to name chords and suggest where to go next. Notes are not saved.

A few settings. So it can welcome you back, the App keeps these on your device using Apple's standard storage:

  • Whether you've finished the welcome screens.
  • The name and connection type of the last keyboard you used, and when you last played.
  • The split point you chose between left and right hand.

None of this leaves your device. Deleting the App removes all of it.

Bluetooth

On iPad, the App asks for Bluetooth permission only so you can pair a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard from inside it. It uses Bluetooth for nothing else. On Mac, Bluetooth keyboards are paired in macOS's Audio MIDI Setup, and the App never uses Bluetooth directly.

The App Store

You get the App from Apple's App Store, which Apple Inc. runs. Apple may process data about your download and purchase under its own privacy policy, which applies alongside this one. We don't receive personal data from Apple beyond the anonymous, aggregated sales and usage reports Apple gives all developers.

Children

The App collects no personal information from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there's nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you write to us, we'll use your email only to reply.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example because a future version adds a feature that needs data, we'll update this page and the date at the top before that version is released.
